9-11 Remembered

Monday, August 14th, 2006

As we approach the fifth anniversary of 9-11, I find my thoughts going back to that day more and more frequently.  Last night I stayed up late to watch some History Channel programming on 9-11.  Even now, five years later, it is very disturbing.  I don’t know what the answer is in dealing with Islamo-Fascists, but I do know it cannot involve trying to make peace with a people who do not believe in peace and it cannot be bought or brought about by the US alone.

Terror Plot in Great Britain

Thursday, August 10th, 2006
Today’s events show us again that the war against terror and terrorists is not over. Thankfully, the free world’s intelligence services have been working together, adding human intelligence capabilities and getting the job done. Latest news reports show that the dry run phase of this plot was coming within the next two days. After that, these murderers would have launched their evil plot. We also see from recent reports that these fiends have been studying us and our habits again. They planned on using explosives carried in sports drink cans and igniting them with simple things: flashes from cameras, cell phones of laptops.

It also struck me that there are a lot of folks who just don’t get it. Did anyone notice the complainers waiting in line to fly - SAFELY - who were whining about the wait, that they wouldn’t have their hair gel or perfume when they arrived at their destination? Or how about the people bemoaning the fact that they couldn’t take their coffee on the plane? Unbeleivable, this sense of entitlement in some people.
